Noncredit Courses
Madonna University offers a variety of noncredit courses designed to support professional
growth, skill development, and career advancement. These programs provide flexible
learning opportunities for individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge or gain
practical credentials.
This workshop is for those who are preparing to take the nursing home administration
licensing exam for the State of Michigan. Students must have (or are in the process
of obtaining) the Certification of Nursing Home Administrator Education from an educational institution accredited by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation (CHEA) that indicates successful completion of a minimum of 9 semester credits or 144 clock
hours of instruction.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Course

This AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) class is specifically tailored for current nursing students. Gain essential life-saving skills, including high-quality CPR, AED usage, and team
dynamics, required for your clinical rotations and professional career.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Course

The Madonna University Nurse Aid Training Program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to perform basic health
care services to residents or patients who reside in an acute or long-term care setting.
Madonna University is a State of Michigan approved Nurse Aide Training Program. It
includes 65 classroom/lab hours and 24 clinical hours. After successful completion
of the CNA Training Program, students will be eligible to take the State of Michigan
Competency Evaluation Exam. Once passed, names will be placed on the Michigan Nurse
Aide Registry and will be able to start working as a CNA.

The RN Refresher Course, offered by Madonna University's College of Nursing and Health, has been designed for nurses who have been out of clinical practice longer than
two years and are wishing to return to an adult setting in acute care, home care,
and/ or long-term care. The RN Refresher Course is intended to assist the nurse in
completing agency orientation with confidence. An update on adult medical-surgical
conditions commonly encountered in hospital, home care, and long-term care settings
will be provided. General concepts of disease management, professional and legal accountability,
critical thinking skills, assessment, documentation, pharmacology, delegation, clinical
practice guidelines, and discharge planning will be presented. Learners enrolled in
the RN Refresher Course (CPS 4200 – Section 01) may also register for CPS 4201 (Section
01), for a small additional fee, to receive optional certification of skill competency,
including skills required for Michigan relicensure.

$500 per credit (for both Undergraduate and Graduate courses)
Tuition Cost
Determine your tuition cost prior to registering. If registering online, you will
need to enter your tuition cost on the registration form. Contact Student Accounts for any questions.
Refunds and Withdrawals
Policies regarding withdrawal and refunds for noncredit students are parallel to students
enrolled in courses for credit. See the Course Schedule for details.
Payment
You may pay via e-check, credit or debit card online. If paying by credit or debit
card, you will be charged a nonrefundable 2.95% service fee. You must register online
if paying by credit card. Madonna University accepts American Express, Discover, Visa,
and MasterCard.
Parking
For on-campus courses, you will receive a temporary parking pass in your email. Madonna no longer charges a parking fee for non-credit courses.
Financial Aid and Student Loans
Noncredit courses do not qualify for financial aid. Students seeking financial assistance

Guest Students
We’re happy to welcome guest students!
If you’re currently attending another college, you can take classes with us for up
to two semesters without going through the full admission process.
Just fill out aRegistration Formand make sure to check the "Guest Student" box. Then, email the completed form along
with a copy of your unofficial transcripts toregistrar@madonna.edu.
Please note: Guest students are not eligible for financial aid, and tuition is due
on the first day of classes.

Students attending Sacred Heart Seminary, or University of Detroit Mercy may participate
in a special consortium arrangement that allows registration at Madonna University
while completing degree requirements at your home college.
